For example during Trap mixing there are often 808’s used which need to be integrated with the rest of the Hip Hop drums, instrumental parts, bass, vocals and synths. The synths an main melody parts are mostly originally played, sometimes samples are used as well. All parts are heavily layered and must sound clean and punchy.
Boom Bap mixing is different, often there are samples used for the main melody parts as well as for the kicks, snares and the rest of the beat. Mostly a vintage touch is desired with a warm and punchy sound. During beat mixing we will eq and compress all sounds accordingly.
How to get started with our Boom Bap & Trap mixing services?
- Contact us by writing an email or simply call us with informations about your project or song.
- We will discuss your ideas and project specifications along with your vision of the sound and more.
- You can then send us the song or project you need mixed via Wetransfer or similar file transfer services.
- Either send us a Pro Tools session or export the separate tracks as Wav Files in order to use our Hip Hop mixing services.
- Make sure all exported files have the same start and end points so they will align on beat when they are imported to a mix session.
- We are then checking your tracks in the studio to make sure all is error free. Incase of any questions we will get back to you prior to the mix session.
- Please include a reference song of a Boom Bap mix, Rap or Trap production you want the sound to aim for.
- After we are finished with the mix we will send you a first version for review. You then can let us know the changes you want us to apply.
